Apparently there was a lady here at one point who was very security conscious. Her apartment not only had a lock on the external door, she installed a lock on the bedroom door as well. Mark Baris from Maintenance lives there now, along with his wife and their daughter.
As far as my door, it does have a lock inside, but I don't have a key for it, so I can't lock it when I'm gone. The door stays closed pretty well, so the rock is my charging kitty insurance.
Update: The brown CEPS shown here has been replaced by the white model in the foreground. It seems that Tigger, with a good running start, can knock down the brown one and escape.

No lock? I guess all you hippies trust each other ;) Hopefully your kitties won't charge the door!
PS Before anyone gets anxious about the "hippies" comment, just know that I too am a hippie.
